Chris co-founded BCS Search after working as a legal recruiter for an international staffing and recruiting firm. Before that, Chris practiced law as a complex commercial litigator with a Vault 100 firm and a litigation boutique firm.
The transition to attorney recruiting was a natural one for Chris, who always had a wide professional network and enjoyed making connections among colleagues and friends – a skill he undoubtedly developed working as a bartender for many years.
Chris spends most of his time at work placing and relocating Associates, Partners and In-house lawyers with firms and corporations throughout the United States. He really enjoys the challenge and puzzle-solving nature of matching talent with the right opportunities.
Chris helped launch BCS Search because he felt there was a void in the market. So many recruiting firms focus solely on client needs that they neglect the very candidates that power the entire legal system. If you work with Chris, you’re going to get individual attention and the only AI you are ever going to hear about is the guy who crossed up Jordan and stepped over Tyronn Lue.
Chris is a proud Big 5 alum of Temple Law (JD) and Penn’s Wharton School (Bachelor’s), where he graduated with honors from both. He is also a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he worked in cryptography. That sounds a lot cooler than it was, but he did get to wear a pretty cool uniform.
CliffsNotes Version: 8th grade marshmallow eating champion → Air Force → CA Bartender → Penn → Temple Law → Ballard Spahr → Boutique → Legal Recruiter/Tuna Steak & Dive Bar Enthusiast → Recruiting Firm Founder → Likes his family
Chris is married (Bonnie) and has three children (Maddy, Jackson and Penn). When he is not working, he loves to hang with his family and can be found traveling or hiking in super cool places.
Fun Facts: Visited 48 of the 50 states; paid my way through school bartending (still make a killer Manhattan); and I qualified as a contestant for the original game show The Weakest Link, but the show was cancelled before my appearance. Perhaps I was the WEAKEST LINK?!
