Chris Zetusky, BCS Accounting & Finance President, knew very early into his staffing career that he wanted to go out on his own and build something important from the ground up. Like most big ideas, though, the timing never seemed “right.” Life got busy. A national pandemic happened. And he got pretty good at making excuses for why today was not the day to take the leap.
That all changed when two former colleagues from “the old place” — people he hadn’t seen since before the pandemic — called and asked him to grab lunch. As someone who somehow always ended up picking up the check, he wasn’t about to pass up a free meal and a few laughs.
Somewhere between a couple of beers and a lot of catching up, they pitched him the idea of starting his own entity under BCS. Chris left that lunch feeling equal parts honored, excited, and a little terrified — mostly because they thought enough of him to even bring it up. After a few months of thinking it over, he decided to do something he had never done before: bet on himself. Once committed, his vision became clear.
First, Chris wanted to go all-in on the private equity space. He had touched PE earlier in his career, but it was never the main focus — one firm required us to stay regional, and another needed everything to align across divisions. This time, he wanted full ownership of the strategy.
Second, he wanted to build the team the right way. That meant hiring people he knew — proven performers with strong work ethics, shared values, and a real desire to build something special rather than just collect a paycheck.
Fast forward three years, and that vision is turning into reality. It hasn’t been easy. It’s been a grind — every single day — and honestly, it still is. But that grind has become BCS Accounting & Finance’s calling card. We outwork. We stay consistent. And we show up for our clients and candidates every time.
This job is hard enough on its own. What makes this a true success story isn’t just the numbers — it’s being able to do it alongside good people who share the same values, work ethic, and long-term vision. That’s what we set out to build. And we’re just getting started.
